Bringing together artists from around the world, of art and music celebrates the influences that visual art and music can have on each other. The exhibition explores everything from collaboration between the two – as in the compelling video installation Paris Requiem by artist Adam Geczy and composer Peter Sculthorpe, to inspiration – in the form of Janet Cardiff’s magnificent sound installation The Forty Part Motet, recreating the sculptural sound of Thomas Tallis’ Renaissance polyphony.

This is a sensory experience that will appeal to primary and lower secondary students on an experiential level. Senior secondary students should come to a fuller understanding of, and appreciation for the collaboration between the visual artists and composers.
