Giant puppets, fantastic flying creatures and inflatables from ERTH’s innovative designers come to life in this spectacular adventure.

Based on the magical novel by Patricia Wrightson, The Nargun and the Stars tells the story of Simon, an orphan who arrives at his cousins’ remote farm, and the Nargun – a huge, living rock from the beginning of time, woken from an age-old sleep.

The farm is a place of ancient secrets inhabited by amazing Indigenous mythical creatures. Simon soon meets Potkoorok (the land’s water creature), the Turongs (tree people) and the Nyols (rock people), and finds himself in a life and death struggle with the terrifying Nargun.

With wide appeal and classroom activities designed for use within several learning areas, this performance can be used to form strong cross-curricula links.

    The Regal Theatre is ideally suited to all forms of theatrical productions including stage shows, concerts, comedies, operas, film festivals and rock shows. The theatre is fully equiped to show both 16 and 35mm films.

    Since the theatre's conversion from a cinema to a live theatre in 1977 the Regal has become Perth's most popular theatre with well over one million people having attended the wide variety of entertainment (Please look at "EXHIBIT" to view some of the shows staged).

    The Theatre is situated on a main public transport route.
    The Subiaco Railway Station is located at the rear of the theatre 2min walk away.
    There are 2 bus stops located outside the Regal Theatre on Hay St and Rokeby Rd.

    Parking
    There are various carparks situated around the Theatre. For Maps and cost of parking, please check the Wilson Parking Website.
    Street parking alongside the theatre on Hay Street is for 1 hour parking plus there is two 10mins bay outside the Theatre.
