Education :: Perth Writers Festival Schools Day

Perth Writers Festival Schools Day

Inspire the imagination and engage the minds of your students by bringing them to this year's Perth Writers Festival Schools Day, featuring an exciting selection of author talks and current affairs discussions. Events are interactive and tailored to appropriate age groups.

The program is split into four streams. The Years 1-3 and Years 4-6 programs run for the morning only, with the Year 7--9 and Year 10-12 groups able to access a whole school day program. All events are held at the University of Western Australia. Bookings are for the full program only. Tickets for individual sessions are not available.

Bring lunch and enjoy a picnic in the university grounds over the lunch break.

When participating in the Writers festival, teachers receive an Education Kit to assist in planning for the event and to integrate relevant topics into teaching and learning programs. The events offer an opportunity to create cross-curricula links.

We hope you and your students will join us for this fun-filled, literary event!

Featuring James Campbell, Mem Fox, Leigh Hobbs, Felice Arena, Carole Wilkinson, Barry Jonsberg, Tristan Bancks, Justine Larbalestier, Libby Gleeson, AJ Betts, Alice Pung and Sally Rippin!
