Beck's Music Box :: The Ruby Suns and High Places
Plus special guests Architecture in Helsinki DJs
Drawing international acclaim for their uplifting psychedelic pop, The Ruby Suns create an exotic mix of indie-rock with Polynesian and African influences. Using a collage of sounds and instruments they combine Beach Boys-inspired melodies and harmonies with 80s-style electronica, guitar, steel-string ukulele and djembe drums.
First on stage: High Places – an exciting new band making evocative experimental pop music with organic sounds, hypnotic beats and dreamy female vocals. Like contemporaries Gang Gang Dance and Panda Bear, this Brooklyn-based duo are part of a new wave of innovative indie artists.
