The Great Southern :: dig: directions in groove

dig: directions in groove

dig burst onto the Australian music scene in the 90s with a sound that quickly won them a huge following. Call it acid jazz, jazz funk or just great grooving music, dig delivered a rare level of musical excitement.

‘The favourite’, ‘Reinvent yourself’, ‘Dreamtime’ and ‘Medium rare’ are just some of the classics that lifted them to the top of the Australian charts and saw them appear alongside artists such as Herbie Hancock and Bootsy Collins.

Ten years after calling it a day, dig are back to put a brand-new spin on their best-loved tunes and unleash some dynamic new material.
