The Great Southern :: Samuel Beckett: Fragments
C.I.C.T./Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord
Director Peter Brook
Two of the world’s greatest theatre-makers come together in an exceptional production featuring a stellar international cast.
The ‘fragments’ are four rarely performed plays and a poem by Samuel Beckett – Rough for Theatre I, Rockaby, Act Without Words II, Neither and Come and Go – directed by revered theatrical producer and director Peter Brook. The monologues, duos and trios reflect themes Beckett raises in his best-known plays – the search for truth, the futility of human existence and the opposition of hope and despair.
