Born in Pakistan but raised in England, Nadeem Aslam is the author of three novels, including the highly acclaimed Season of the Rainbirds (1993). His second novel, Maps for Lost Lovers (2004), was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize for Fiction, shortlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and awarded the Kiriyama Pacific Rim Book Prize and the Encore Award. He was named Decibel Writer of the Year in 2005. |
