Theatre :: Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
1927
Take a deliciously deadly journey through 1927’s multiple-award winning and ingenious mix of live performance, music and silent movie animation.
Comically grim and strangely beautiful at the same time, this surreal satire takes audiences through 10 very unusual vignettes – from the weird underbelly of the suburbs, to wild, wild woods and onto shipwrecked seas. Hapless cats, marauding gingerbread men and cross-dressing devils all make an appearance, not to mention sinister twins and their misfortunate guests.
With cult status in London, a sell-out season and a clean sweep of the top awards at the Edinburgh Fringe, Perth is next in line for this wickedly funny gem.
